My work as a director.
As a Director, I refine the concept in pre-production to ensure it translates effectively to film. Together with the Director of Photography, I visualize the storyline, communicate the creative approach, and collaborate closely with all departments to craft a clear and cinematic narrative. In this particular case we had to plan in advance how far we can push things without stressing out any animal.
The second phase was the actual production. One of the client’s key requests was to feature all animals within a single establishing shot - a significant creative and logistical challenge. As Director, I coordinated animal trainers, technical departments, and actors alike to ensure a seamless and cinematic execution.
